Since 1871 the National Rifle Association, NRA is the largest Firearms Training and Gun Safety Institution that serves Civilians, Military, Law Enforcement and Hunters in the USA. The NRA is the  leader of firearms competitions around the world creating marksmanship and professional shooters. There is no better institution in the USA to learn firearm safety and education than the NRA - the lead organization that stresses Shooter Responsibility and Gun Safety Education that ensures a safer environment for everyone.

NRA Firearms Certification & Credentials
Upon successful training, STAT students will receive a certification ID card and/or a certificate from the National Rifle Association.

STAT Instructors
All STAT instructors are certified NRA Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun Instructors to include, additional NRA certifications. Our philosophy is SAFETY FIRST when having fun in the sport of shooting. We do not believe in accidents there are only INCIDENTS, therefore, you are responsible for your actions! With the RIGHT Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude when handling a firearm, will make a safer environment for everyone.

Private Instruction
: Upon request, one-to-one Instructor to student ratio for any course offerings. 
STAT'S FAMILY AWARE PROGRAM, FAP
FAP is a great way to maintain firearm safety in the household. An adult of the household may bring additional family members from the ages 10 to 17 for half the cost. STAT stresses family safety when a firearm is introduced to the home. Hiding and securing your firearm are all good initiatives however, we know children will eventually find your hiding spot, safe key or combination. You have the option for your child to take part in the classroom or both classroom and range. Be responsible and take action to ensure a safe environment of everyone!

Range Attire (the range is located off-site approximately 15 minutes from the classroom)
Please wear the appropriate clothing while on the range.
1. Closed toed shoes (example: sneakers, boots), NO open toed footwear.
2. Crew cut type of shirt or sweat shirt (no V-kneck Shirts or low-cut).
3. Ball cap or similar (optional).
4. Safety Glasses, hearing protection (can rent at the range or bring your own).
5. Firearm bag or case with firearm manual.
6. Additional gear required for your firearm.

First Step Program, (3 Hours) $60/person or $140 for a family up to 2 immediate members.
Firearm Instruction Responsibility and Safety Training for new shooters. Provides a hands-on orientation to one specific rifle, p
istol, or shotgun model in as little as three hours including a one hour shooting session. A great way to introduce yourself and family members to gun safety and education that will make a safer living environment for you and/or for family members inside the household. 

Pistol Shooting Certification,
(8 hours) $140.

Safety is fundamental to all shooting activities. Whether you're practicing at the range, hunting, or cleaning your gun the rules of firearm safety always apply. This course requires both classroom and range time. Shooters will learn the following: SafetyPistol Mechanisms and Operation, Building pistol Shooting Skills, Pistol Maintenance and more.

Shotgun Certification Course (10 hours) $150

Learn the combination of knowing your firearm, the acquisition of basic shooting Skills, the right Attitude and Knowledge. The sport of using the shotgun are for a variety of reasons; Skeet, Target, Hunting, Competitions. Learn the knowledge, Skills and the right Attitude when using a shotgun.

Rifle Certification Course (14 hours) $180

Learn the fundamentals, ammunition, positions, sighting, sports and activities. Most important, learn the right Knowledge, Skills and Attitude necessary for the safe use of the rifle. 

Range Safety Officer, RSO Certification (9 hours) $150

The NRA Range Safety Officer Certification educates the RSO student how to enforce Range Standing Operating Procedures (varies from range to range) for their range. Ranges are managed by a NRA Chief Range Safety Officer that over-see all RSO's, patrons and range operations on the premises. 

NRA Range Safety Officer Certification Fees (not more then $26.00 and is separate from course fee).
Certification Fees from the NRA will be determined by several criteria set-forth by the NRA. Please, bring with you a check made payable to the NRA (the amount will be determined at the end of class.) NRA criteria for pricing are as follows,

Winchester / NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program

It has been the flagship of NRA's training development programs for over 80 years. Instructors and Coaches use the qualification program as a guideline to train new shooters, both juniors and adults, in their clubs. Individuals not involved with clubs or organizatin utilizes this program to develop their own shooting skills. Through competition you earn awards and badges for your Skills, Knowledge and the right Attitude with firearms. program details click here
